YES – I said PR!! WOOOO HOOOO. I ran the St. Patrick’s Day 8K in DC and took my 8K PR from a 35:19 post baby #2 to a time of 33:48 post baby #3. My time was good enough for 32nd overall female out of 3,176!!
This race was especially meaningful to me because the first time I ran it [it used to be a 10K] I was at one of my heaviest points in my life and wasn’t very happy with who I was or where I was at in life. I ran it with my mother and father, both of whom 20+ years old than me, beat me. I ran a 1:06:25 and was the 1,745th female overall out of 2,011.
My full race report will come later this week but I wanted to leave you with a little pictoral inspiration.
